 Dentist

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Deskin also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. He takes great pride in bringing the highest levels of professionalism, caring and dedication to each and every patient he treats.

Dr. Deskin offers a wide array of general and cosmetic dentistry procedures and options to his patients at Brantford North Dental, and believes in providing his patients with as many options as possible to consider when making decisions about their dental care.

Dr. Deskin enjoys positive collegial relationships with many specialists in the Brantford dental community and will not hesitate to refer their patients to an endodontist (root canal specialist), oral surgeon, orthodontist, or periodontist (gum specialist) for specific procedures or treatments should they feel that a particular case warrants the involvement of a specialist.

On a personal note, Dr. Deskin and his wife, Brenda, are the proud parents of two young boys. Both parents are devoted to the advancement of autism treatment and awareness, having been personally impacted by this neurological disorder.

In his spare time, Dr. Deskin enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and gardening. As an animal lover, he and Brenda have fostered many cats and kittens over the years. He is keenly interested in computers and technology, and enjoys applying his knowledge in these areas to the ongoing advancement of his dental practice.

Office Manager

Brenda wears many hats including that of Office Manager at her husband's dental practice, Brantford North Dental. She is also an advocate for the well-being of people who have developmental disabilities. She and Dr. Deskin are parents to two wonderful boys, the eldest of whom has Autism. Brenda is an animal lover and avid baker.

Hygiene Team

Our team of dental hygienists is dedicated to helping our patients achieve and maintain the highest levels of oral health through gentle but thorough dental cleanings and ongoing patient education.

As a child, Brittney always enjoyed her visits to the dentist. In 2012 she graduated as a Dental Assistant and then seven years later, she decided to further her studies and become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Brittney is very passionate about her job and helping her patients achieve not only a healthy, confident smile, but also sustainable overall health. Brittney enjoys spending time with her two children, who keep her life fun and busy with gymnastics, softball, lacrosse and hockey!

Jenn grew up in Hamilton and completed the Dental Hygiene Program at Georgian College in 2004. After working in the KW area for 18 years, Jenn and her family decided to plant their roots in Brantford which led her to relocate professionally as well so she could work in the same community in which she lives. As a Dental Hygienist, Jenn's goal is to help patients achieve a healthy smile through education and treatment, while at the same time ensuring their ongoing comfort and relaxation. In her spare time, she treasures spending time with her husband and two daughters, and also enjoys her alone time gardening and doing yoga.

Dental Assistants

Our friendly team of dental assistants will calm the most nervous of patients and make you feel right at home in no time at all!

Andria is a multitasker at BND. She is a Level II Certified Dental Assistant but often pops up to the front to lend a hand. Andria has spent most of her life in Brantford. She graduated from Dental Assisting at Medix School in 2009, and has been working at Brantford North Dental since 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, traveling and reading, as well as spending time with her husband Dave, and her sons Matthew, Cullen and Emerson both at their Brantford residence and in their new summer home, the family trailer.

Kerissa has always had a strong interest in the field dentistry and was therefore thrilled to recently be accepted to the Dental Assisting Program at Anderson College and have the opportunity to earn a diploma in her dream career. Her enthusiasm and care for others is warmly welcomed by her coworkers and our patients alike. In her spare time, Kerissa enjoys going on hikes, camping, shopping and spending time with her partner, family, friends and last but not least, her adorable dog!

Meggie studied Dental Assisting at Media College in 2016 and worked in a smaller family practice in Guelph for about five years prior to moving Paris and joining the BND team. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her husband, their three cats, and the latest addition to their family, a pup named Broly. Meggie loves Karaoke, the outdoors, movies and music.

Remya graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2016 from India and in 2019 moved to Canada where she studied Health Care Administration in Kingston, Ontario. Upon graduating, Remya began working as a Dental Assistant and moved to Brantford where she spends her time when not at work, cooking, baking, shopping and sewing.

Administrators

We understand that you have enough on your plate with all of life’s demands! So let our friendly and capable office administrators ease your burden when it comes to your dental care. They are always there for our patients, whether it be to send a text or make a friendly reminder call about your upcoming appointment, or to help make sense of your dental insurance. They are there for you!

Courtney is a seasoned Dental Administrator. When not working, she loves spending time up North at the family cottage. She enjoys reading, and trying new foods both in restaurants and that she cooks herself. Her best time is the time she spends with her husband, daughter and their pet cat.

Never in her wildest dreams did Holly expect to find herself working within the field of dentistry, but lo and behold, she is now a rockstar Administrator at BND. We knew we had to hire Holly the moment we met her! Her bubbly personality and ability to grasp skills and concepts quickly have made her an an awesome patient resource and colleague alike. Mom to several of her own fur babies, Holly is passionate about rescuing and caring for animals. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking and reading, as well as hiking and walking with her pup.
